ACE Peer Mentor Interns

Join ACE as we host Middle School Break Camps for 7th grade Black males at our headquarters.

ACE is launching a Middle School Mentoring program with a focus on 7th Grade Black and BIPOC males in the Seattle area.  The program will start with the Mid-Winter Break Camp in February.  The Mid-Winter Break Camp will focus on Entrepreneurship and take place February 18-21.

Following the camp, ACE staff and mentors will meet with students at their school for check ins 1-2 a month.  This will be followed by the Spring Break Camp in April and then the Summer Learning Experience in July. The Spring Break camp will take place April 14-18 and focus on STEM.

 ACE Summer Learning Experience (SLE) is a 5-year grant awarded program collaborating with the City of Seattle and the Department of Education and Early Learning. SLE will take place at ACE Headquarters and will focus on rising 8th grade males

Break Camp interns will work camp each day from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Interns will perform a variety of tasks including leading small groups, opening & closing huddles, lunch set up, end of day clean up, staff huddles, and other duties as assigned.

Interns will also take part in weekly planning meetings leading up to each camp on Tuesdays from 4:15 - 5:45 pm. These will be a combination of in person at the ACE Headquarters and virtually on Zoom. Interns will also have tasks to complete between meetings.

The ACE Middle School Break Camp Internships are scheduled to take place January through April and pay $20/hour. We are looking for Black males 16-24 to apply.
